Glory House celebrated Irving heritage in partnership with the Irving Heritage Society on April 3, 2012. Lunch at the Bistro on this date celebrated an early 1900’s menu in recognition of “Irving- The City and the Man.” The delicious menu included beef steak pie, Brundwich chicken stew, corn fritters, baked beans, corn chowder, potato soup and apple cobbler with cream.
April 3rd celebrates Washington Irving’s birthday as well.
The Irving Heritage Society placed a large photo of Washington Irving on a tri-pod for display and offered a wide range of literature about Washington Irving and the Heritage Society.
The event boasted record turnout, with a number of guests at Glory House riding out the storm and threat of tornado later in the afternoon!
